Omise was founded in 2013. The company provides online payment gateway services for online merchants in Thailand, and seamless online payment experience on both mobile and web end. It supports minimal certification in the premise of ensuring transaction security. Meanwhile, users do not have to pay monthly subscription fees, and Omise charges only a very low fee for each transaction. The company's business covers both Thailand and Japan, and will soon be extended to Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. On May 8, 2017, Omise launched an e-wallet with Alipay to integrate the Alipay payment solution in its own payment service suite, aiming to help e-commerce merchants in Thailand receive online payment transactions from Chinese tourists.
